Zwivhuya Leonard Ndou
I am Zwivhuya Leonard Ndou, a doctoral student at the Department of Zoology and Entomology, University of Free State. My research project aims at assessing the impact of locust outbreaks on biodiversity, conditions favoured by the brown locust and to evaluate ecosystem services at outbreak sites. I grew up in a farming family, thus my research interests are rooted in agricultural crop production with the special interest in control of agricultural insect pests. My fields of entomological interest are towards postharvest entomology, biological control, insect ecology and biology. I strongly believe in the importance of working in the multi-disciplinary team approach to the success of novel research and development.
