Tide predictions

Posted by Ricky Taylor at May 23. 2014

There is a good (and free) program that gives the predicted tide levels.  It is called WXTide32.  You can download it from the web and have it resident in your computer.  Sihle had a lot of problems in getting it to run - but apparently now has it working. So - ask her how she did it if you have problems.

Tide tables can also be downloaded from the SA Navy Hydrographer - but only for two months in advance - and only limited types of data formats.  However, they do sell much more detailed data - but I do not think we need it.  Remember this is predicted data - and the actual tide is modified by barometric pressure, winds and sea conditions that occur at the time.
